Some Mexicans use the term "reconquista," which is Spanish for reconquest, to describe their desire to see California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas acquired by Mexico and named the new country of Aztlan. They are teaching their youth that the United States "stole" those areas from Mexico and that they should be "returned."

As near as I can tell, the locals rose up and seized the main Mexican garrison in California something like a week before American troops arrived.
We really should have kept all that we conquered.
They can have from San Francisco south...and that would include Sacramento...and all the vermin located there.
Get rid of birthright citizenship to stop some of this invasion. All you need is a good Supreme Court decision to choke off the birthright of the spawn of illegal aliens being US citizens

compare Canada to Mexico, and the number of “illegal” Canadians.....People will always try to get out of a “hell hole”....however, we should expect them NOT to build any here, and to obey our laws! That is the problem. That we even have to entertain the idea that it is “reconquista” says it all.

The US conquered it in war, but then gave millions in GOLD to Mexico to GIVE UP all territorial claim to the area.
MEXICO agreed with those terms.
Later the US gave MEXICO more GOLD to give up all claim to the Gadsen Purchase area.
Mexico has NO CLAIM on the southern US border states.
Read the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.

Lying and stealing is an accepted way of life in most of the world. In native american cultures, it was even revered. I consider it a form of insanity.
To assimilate means to adopt the language and customs of the location within which you reside.
Mexicans (for the most part) have shown over and over and over that they have no desire at all to do that.
Therefore, with enough “immigration”, they will create another Mexico here. Same corruption, same diseases, same crime, same economy.
Invasion.
