Somethings are just too incredible to believe unless you see it for yourself. Well what we have here is Shelby County (TN) Commissioner Steve Mulroy being interviewed by a TV reporter. While the camera is rolling, a panhandler walks up to the commissioner, tells him to keep his mouth shut and to hand over $2.00.
After the commissioner refused to give him the money, the panhandler then demanded that the politician have two dollars for him every time he sees him. The whole incident is only funny after the fact because there was no physical violence. As you will see, the commissioner is obviously caught off guard by the whole incident. I must admit that Mulroy handled the whole extortion attempt quite admirably for a politician.
And I could give a rats as* about the video running.
I want my two dollars!!!
What a friggin’ woos !
Let me guess....uh...wait, I’m thinking, this guy voted for McCain or Obama?
Tennesee?!
I thought this was San Fran.
Freakin’ bums!
We really do live in worlds of our own, don’t we?
Depends what IS really means to each of us...

Whenever a beggar asks me for money, I say; “I was just going to ask you for money”
Works every time!
The bum is probably on welfare or some government program and collecting tax dollars in one way or another. These parasites are everywhere.
“I’m from the IRS, just how much do you make panhandling?” Has served me well.
I thought the commissioner handled the situation very well. I’m not exactly sure what would have been accomplished if he had punched the bum.
I have to confront jerks like this everyday in downtown Cincinnati. The cops do nothing about the homeless street bums because they seem “harmless”. At the same time, City Council spends millions trying to lure people downtown to spend money, yet will not address this most basic problem which drives people away. There are plenty of homeless shelters around here, but you do have to obey a few rules.... like show up before 10 pm and not be stinking drunk.
. . . . so he can spend it at a liquor store.
