Amazing how this clueless author fails to mention the most important thing to reduce government debt - grow the economy!

Right now, the government is hampering real growth in a multitude of ways. Just get out of the way and this economy will take care of itself and tax revenues will increase as real GDP increases.

Stupid Keynesians.

What makes you think any self respecting conservative would even think about moving into a filthy corrupt crowded city? Cities are inherently Communist. A city is a commune.

I know some people that live in the city that are very conservative. Not a lot, but some. They live there because that's where the work is that they like to do, among other reasons.

That possibility does exist! Don’t expect to see it though...

Me either. I think a full-blown civil war is more likely. Doesn't stop me from throwing the thought of the alternative out there to get people to mull it over though.

Actually, that is more likely... unfortunately unless things change radically.

Really? And who is going to pay the moving expenses of those people who live in an area that is not in line with their political beliefs? Or do we just FU to all those people and let them be stuck in progressive hell as long as you get what you want?

I am stuck in progressive hell (Michigan). Trust me, I will find a way to come up with the moving expenses.

And it won't get voted on by November. IMHO

But mightn't it get voted on in December, in a lame duck session?

Imagine a Congress full of defeated Democrats and a few defeated Republicans (like John McCain and Bob Bennett) -- with nothing to lose. And a score to settle...

It could be a legislative catastrophe.

“Hello, we are a democracy!!!”

That is the problem. We were founded as a Republic, not a Democracy. ‘Democracy’ is what has gotten us into the mess we are in now. It is time to restore the republic.

Slogans make the problem sound simple...

Yeah, those poor, ignorant Tea Party types, believing in crap like "Hope and Change."

Oh, wait...

I'll pay my own damned moving expenses to relocate. If you want to stay in a liberal area because you're too cheap to move, be my guest.

Are you kidding? They’re not talking about a country for limo libs, like a west or east coast Monaco - a lib “country” would have ALL the generations of welfare leeches, including those able-bodied people massively scamming the M-Care/M-Caid systems on a daily basis.

They cannot do without the producers who actually get up in the morning and go to work - which side would have more?

Edit: Change "be my guest" to "suit yourself".

I've got to learn to pause before hitting "Post".

“Cut pay, benefits and pensions of ALL government workers and retirees by 50%, except for military.”’

And totally eliminate unnecessary govt. like the dept. of Education.

Also keep illegals from taking advantage of our country. No more anchor babies. The kids go home with their parents if they are not citizens. Govt. must actively locate companies that hire illegals and companies that hire illegals should pay severe fines. Use of our medical system must be paid by the country of origin if any illegal cannot pay. Absolutely no long term care for them, they go home for that. No social security for illegals. It they work here and get soc sec deducted, the govt. can keep it.

I think a lot of the liberals would be happy with a country where everybody is equally poor. Cuba seems to be an appealing model for a lot of them.

I think a lot of them would be happy if everybody were poorer than THEY. As Glenn Beck said today, there is no doubt the “social justice” people would like to bring the U.S. down a lot of pegs, because our average income of $30K is just simply way more rich than the rest of the world, so we are obviously guilty of success and being born in the right country. But the people who want to impose those policies would never live under the regime themselves; they would plan to rule it and live like kings.

That's the way it always is. And honestly, as long as they aren't threatening us, I really don't care what they do in their country. If Kim Jong-il gets to live in a palace, it doesn't bother me.

LMAO!!
US News and World Report is still around? Clearly they’ve cut costs to the bone and are hiring last year’s Daily Collegian socialists for peanuts to come up with silly stuff like, “Let’s raise taxes on everybody.” (yawn)

Probably a good sign that the conservative country would be the right one for you. I think anybody that looks to the government to write them a check for their moving expenses probably would be happier staying in the liberal country anyway.

Being too cheap has nothing to do with it, a**hole. Being broke has everything to do with it and I am not the only conservative who would be stuck in a liberal he** hole because they lack the funds to move to another state. So FU dumb a**. Dividing the country is a stupid idea, what we need to do is take back the government and especially our schools and educate the young people coming up so they understand what type of government we are supposed to be living under.
