HazMat Call Evacuates Independence Mall
Homeland Security, FBI Examine Suspicious Package PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police said a blue, balloon-like canister with a white powder substance is being investigated on Independence Mall.
The discovery was made just before 3 p.m. Thursday near the Liberty Bell Center on the 500 block of Chestnut Street. Multiple buildings have been evacuated and streets are closed in the area.
The Department of Homeland Security, the FBI and fire crews have also been called to the scene to assist police with the investigation and determine what is in the object.

True, but have you ever SEEN a flour explosion?
Sugar, flower and dust explosions can bring down a silo complex.

I bet it was the work of one of the cells of the notorious terrorist group
Hash House Harriers!

There's a technical word that firefighters use to describe it, but for the life of me, I can't remember it. Fuel-Air explosive. Dust explosion.
The army taught me how to make a "dust initiator" explosive. A ten pound bag of flour can demolish a gymnasium.
Such devices work in large confined areas, but not so well in small places.

Suspicious white powder?
Was Calderon there earlier today? Or maybe he was there with his America-bashing pal Barry?

Philadelphia police said a blue, balloon-like canister with a white powder substance is being investigated on Independence Mall.It occurs to me that they could greatly expedite this investigation by putting out a picture of the thing to the media. It's probably some innocent object that many people would recognize if they saw it.

True, but have you ever SEEN a flour explosion? Some times we'd take a small baf of flour and tie it around a grenade simulator.
Used at night, it would make a loud 'bang!' and an even bigger 'flash!'

NO
I have seen pictures of silos in rubble.
I have seen the craters of hundreds of 500 pound bombs. One night we had 5-7 B52’s unload 2000 yards away.
