WASHINGTON (AP) - Confronting soaring frustration over illegal immigration, President Barack Obama on Wednesday condemned Arizona's crackdown and pushed instead for a federal fix the nation could embrace. He said that will never happen without Republican support, pleading: "I need some help."

In asking anew for an immigration overhaul, Obama showed solidarity with his guest of honor, Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who called Arizona's law discriminatory and warned Mexico would reject any effort to "criminalize migration." The United States and Mexico share a significant economic and political relationship that stands to be damaged the more the nations are at odds over immigration, which affects millions of people on both sides of the border.

"criminalize migration" ????? Since when did Illegal Aliens crossing the US/Mexican boarder become "migration?" Are they birds? And what about the "criminalized migration" of Latin Americans from SOUTH of Mexico into Mexico, Calderon you hypocrite!

I was always under the impression that it was the job of the president to make sure our borders were secure.

Anyone crossing our borders illegally are a potential threat to this nation. Isn’t the president in charge of providing for the common defense?

Three step process:

1) Surrender
2) Make 'em all citizens
3) Give 'em lots of stuff

I'm pretty this is the fix he's planning

Calderon’s statement is a clear admission that Mexico will not accept limits on immigration. The Democrats are peddling a lie that amnesty will be accompanied by effectively closing the southern border to illegal immigration. Amnesty will be effectively open southern borders. Any attempts to enforce immigration beyond the border will be met with the same derision it now receives. Any immigration law passed now will be a fraud.

Hey the beef is not with Felipe. It's with Barako. Bohama is the one who said that Arizona's law is discriminatory! He is the one who said that Mexico will not accept what HE considers the law to be, 'criminalized migration'.

All the idiot has to do is issue an Exec Order to strike down all laws by states pertaining to immigration, which is a federal mandate BUT the Exalted One doesn't have the bolas to do that!

As for Felipe, he says, "hey gringo what's mine is mine, what's yours is negotiable......"

One of the associated pimps was probably up all night trying to express the thought, without actually saying: “achieving amnesty without causing armed insurrection” and the best s/he could do was: “a federal fix the nation could embrace”.

“I need some help.”

It’s easy: just ask Calderone how Mexico does it, and adopt their methods. Problem solved!
