Rush was talking about a "conference on homelessness" that was held in the 1980s while Reagan was President. Liberals took some US homeless people to the Soviet Union to whine about how rotten America was.

The audience asked a man how long he'd been homeless... "5 years or more". They asked him what he did for a living. He said... "nothing". They asked him how long he hadn't had a job... "5 years"...

The audience members started to get up and walk out in disbelief.

Agreed, yet upon close examination all social programs have as their bottom line, buy votes, no matter the cost. Fiscal or human.
