Happy to see him go, but concerned that a Toomey Sestak race will be a lot tougher.

Didn’t the Pres of the USA go out on a limb and campaign for Specter?

Sestak is a freak with a temper and unbridled ambition. We have to watch out for him.

My sentiments exactly.

It will be tougher...but this is a six term incumbent beaten by an opponent with more baggage (that pesky barter that the Obots offered...Secretary of Navy in lieu of a Senatorial run by Sestak) than a carousel at LaGuardia...

Toomey lugs none of that with him. Sestak also voted for ObamaCare; and is pretty looney far left. With national help (Sarah Palin, pick up the BatPhone) and financing...Toomey can turn blue PA purple (til we can unseat Bobby Casey).

I've been reading many comments along the lines of yours, above.

While it may be true that Sestak will be harder to beat than Arlen would have been, for the moment I want to exult in the joy. Besides, I don't know whether the popular wisdom Stestak/Arlen match up against Toomey is true. A lot of folks are voting Dem/Repub in the general election. You get your real voters on a revenge mission in the primaries.

Whatever the case, and I'm not from Pennsylvania but live nearby, imagine what last night was like for Arlen.

Here's an extremely, EXTREMELY, nasty man, who has spent the most recent part of his life being especially nasty.

He's been nasty, disloyal and as always, for himself first and always.

He's flipped the Republicans the bird so many times and in the end he betrayed the pubs even though he had Dubya and others out pushing his election and we all paid a price but daggone Arlen won...Arlen won!

So I'm taking joy that somewhere on the planet, someone got what was coming to him. I hope ole Arlen tossed and turned last night and he will live his days in ignomy....REJECTED BY BOTH PARTIES!

I hope Arlen throws a hissy by voting against the Democrats over the next few months.

Rather, he’ll probably use his vote as leverage with the administration to gain a cabinet position or ambassadorship or some such.
