My nephew works for Abbott Labs near Chicago and says they’re having a real problem with counterfeiting. Especially in South America and Eastern Europe. The real hit comes when they have to investigate then fend off lawsuits based upon plaintiff use of counterfeit drugs or due to counterfeit labels.
King Obama decreed that they must all cut their expenses.

That’s right. And check on the number of visit to Ubangi in the WH by the CEO of Pfizer, Kindler and his donations to Dems and Obama personally. Pfizer is a fascist company run by fascist enablers— acquire and fire and all to reward the CEO with a percent of the increased “revenue” from a completely non-productive company. This company was right in the middle of so called healthcare reform, and came away with everything they wanted. Absolute shame. Crony capitalism.

Small business isn’t hiring either, the S corps that make 250K or more. Can’t plan on increasing staffing if you 1.)cannot afford to pay the fines for not providing required healthcare under Ubangicare or, 2.) cannot afford the capital expense to provide for employer subsidized care in or out of the insurance exchanges. Result= increased unemployment. Alinsky rules at work. Question- at what point does Cloward-Piven strategy cause the breakdown of society?
I have no sympathy for any company that makes billions from cholesterol remedies, cholesterol is a scam and all the money spent by Americans for lipitor would have been put to better use if it had been burned in fireplaces in the winter, at least it would have warmed someone. There are thousands of people suffering from side effects of these drugs and there is no proof that they have prevented one death from heart disease.

Thank you for reminding us of this case. Referenced the situation on another post in this thread. The screws are tightening, and we have to listen to a Supreme court nominee like Kagen talk about “redistribution of free speech” . Between her and Souter we are assured that we have no private property OR freedom of speech. Go for the 1st Amendment so we cannot exercise the 2nd. Signed my tagline.

Funny you mentioned “South of D Border”. Just drove by Pedro’s at the NC/SC line and there is a parkway or interchange there named... I kid you not.. “Ben Bernanke Parkway” after our erstwhile Fed Reserve chair. Turns out his fambly has been in Dillon, SC since before the 1860’s or so, and he waited tables at Pedro’s somewhere. Weird. You’re right though, lots of chicanos and illegals there in Sanford and in Smithfield. For a real laugh drive by some morning in Raleigh by the Mexican Consulate and look at the lines of illegals getting so called work permits. NC tolerates this way too much, that and the drug dealers in their midst. Scary really.
You might think that, but these are Wyeth plants that they acquired and now they close down to sell. The reality is that Wyeth’s business model would have preserved the jobs. The takeover means they have the products, and now do calculations based on fixed govt. prices or rather the hands off pricing they got from Obambicare and you can see how they intend to make margins. Zero R&D and basic margin stretching- sign of a dying industry killed by it’s own greed. Great WSJ editorial on this and the connex to the Groton eminent domain case mentioned elsewhere in this thread. Oh yeah, Pfizer is also lobbying to make these drugs in... China, even as they whine and moan about no importation of drugs from foreign countries. It is all so disgusting.
