I bet he dodged alot of sniper fire, too.

He's about to do a lot of dodging from Connecticut Tea Party Patriots.

...and fly in the face of Blumenthal's public image.

Actually they don't. Those of us who have been living in CT know he's a fraud.

“a coward” and “a liar”

In other words, a Democrat politician. Not much of a revelation.

For some reason I thought this was past the primary stage. Unfortunately, it isn’t...
If it was, the GOP would have a chance to win. But, the other Dem will win instead and coast to victory.

I don’t know why Freepers were excited about this yesterday...

It just means the other Dem will win!

Good grief. The primary isn’t until September?

Well then, this is a sure thing....eventually this guy will just either bow out or he will lose to Alpert.

The GOP doesn’t stand a chance.

I hope that Alpert sics the entire Tijuana Brass on Blumenthal. : )

And if Blumenthal’s lies won’t convince Republicans that our best chance to defeat Blumenthal is to nominate former Congressman Rob Simmns, a Vietnam veteran who served in the CIA for years and has impecable national-security credentials, I don’t know what will.

Rob Simmons can win this election.

Except, of course, Blumenthal didn’t vote on O care.

You are probably right. NYT knew that McMahon (sp) was going with this info so they got ahead of the story before the dem candidate was chosen.

Wonder if dem voters care if their candidate is a liar but in the general election that could be a problem.

How far behind is Simmons? Is McMahon’s financial advantage too much?

I think I heard that next week the dems were going to endorse their choice so it’s likely Blumy won’t be getting their endorsement.

Blumenthal better be careful. That Linda McMahon has a pretty mean right cross. And she knows some very large, steroided up men with severe anger management issues.

lol-Sometime you wonder if its only you that sees certain patterns. Nice to see others saw that tactic too.

People best be very careful. The dems are pulling a set up. They want to get rid of candidates that voted O care and replace them with candidates that look like they listen to the people.

Bingo! That has been the nub and the essence of the whole Mark Critz stealth campaign here in Pennsylvania.

Simmons is 7% behind McMahon against Blumenthal and has a lot less funding. But maybe this will close the gap. Also, I did forget about Ventura, maybe she does have a chance with her bankroll. However, she should hire decent writer for her website.

I would not be so sure about that.

The Dems seem perfectly happy to keep pulling the lever for John Kerry (among others) who lied about their Vietnam service. Bluemthal’s cause celebre is capping credit card interest rates and dragging the CEO’s of credit card companies into Yankee Stadium for televised public floggings. I suspect that position will still gain him a whole lot of traction among typical Democrats.

In CT, we have RINO A (Simmons), RINO B (McMahon) and RINO C (Schiff). Schiff has the advantage of at least being economically conservative, but has the disadvantage of having no chance in the primary.

I have yet to see evidence that Linda McMahon, financier of the pro-abortion lobby, is less liberal than Rob Simmons. And she certainly doesn’t have the experience, profile, or national-security credentials to make her a better general-election candidate than Simmons (irrespective of what a couple of recent polls say).

According to this article at The Day (New London, CT) newspaper (http://www.theday.com/article/20100512/NWS05/305129915/-1/NWS), the CT Democrats have their nominating convention scheduled for Friday of this week. The odds were that Blumenthal would have been the easy nominee coming out of that convention, and a primary would only be necessary if some other candidate came up with 15 percent or more of the vote.

In typical open and ethical Democrat fashion (snort!), the state party's "central committee" has evidently been working overtime to prevent Alpert from speaking at the convention.

So, was the NY Times article timing chosen to influence the Demo/Commie convention and give Alpert a chance at getting that 15 percent in order to force a primary? Will the Demothugs circle their wagons and nominate Blumenthal anyway?

If I'm understanding it correctly, the article in The Day also says that Alpert refers to Blumenthal as "chicken Dick" (I love it, LOL!)...
