I can actually appreciate the intellectual consistency of Chomsky, Cromwell and Ruffalo. If Bush was as evil as they state, then Obama is truly no better. However, I think Obama WAS different than Bush. My suggestion is that the daily briefings and intelligence information received by the President can turn even the most anti-war peacenik into a hawk overnight. This is why even the most leftist Presidents fail to implement their foreign policy/ national security agenda when they enter office.

Obama entered office believing exactly as they did ... out of Iraq in 10-minutes or less, shut down Guantanimo, miranda rights and public trials for terrorists, no “enhanced” interrogations, etc. It is easy to snipe from the sidelines when the lives of 250 million Americans are not on your shoulders. The realities of national security must’ve slapped Obama in the face and (partially) woken him up.

So ... instead of implementing the Chomsky agenda, Obama gets information that makes him realize (1) Iraq truly is a front in the WOT, and we can’t abandon it without surrendering and risking Iraqi and American civilian lives; (2) the guys in Guantanimo are there for a reason, so we can’t just release these people, and we can’t move them either becuase nobody wants them; (3) miranda rights and show trials are exactly the propaganda opportunity the enemy is looking for, and (4) sugar-coated interrogations don’t work.

To me, the fact that Obama seems to have (somewhat) come to our side on these issues does not indicate that he was corrupted ... it vindicates that Bush was right all along.

Bingo. He rejected her, she hated him, he “deserved” to die, she hates herself for it.

very true.

And my favorite, they always forget to lump China in there as well. Might as well enlighten them about Mexico, in regard to their immigration policies, too.

Among the signatories are linguist Noam Chomsky, "L.A. Confidential" actor James Cromwell, actor Mark Ruffalo and prominent Bush-era anti-war protestor Cindy Sheehan. By midday Thursday there were 1,804 signatures.

Better known for Babe: "That'll do, pig."

The last time I saw Jim he was having a psychotic breakdown over global warming on Six Feet Under.

Of course the show was made by liberals, but they also sent up Ed Begley Jr. for his little electric car.

Smoke screen only

That thought crossed my mind as well. This guy is so Janus-faced, it is impossible to sort through his words and his intentions.

Yes, he issued an order to assassinate a US Citizen believed to be a terrorist. I’m all for killing terrorists, but while we might chuckle at it being a mooselimb, think of how the Hutaree Militia are being called “terrorists”.

Obama is responsible for "their job" which has included angering Pakistanis by the boatload because of civilian deaths.

It may be a smokescreen but conservatives need to realize that their portrait of Obama as a McGovernite in foreign policy doesn’t hold water. He is a power-made Wilsonian in foreign policy much like he is a power mad leftist in domestic policy. Thankfully, a few leftists are starting to figure this out.
