We have a similar rule in Texas about the minimum caliber to hunt deer. Pigs, though are open season, 24/7/365 and you can use anything, from a frying pan upside the head to crew-served weapons. The new trend is to run up while the dogs have a hold and stab the pig in the neck!

Speaking of undersized bullets, I am going to Alaska over Memorial day and am bringing my handgun in case of a big game attack on my rental car. It is a Walther P99 in .40 cal., so feel free to say a little prayer for me!

This sounds like an excellent excuse for YOU to purchase a new gun. Might I recommend a nice Ruger Super Redhawk, chambered in .454 Casull? Of course, you’ll probably need to hire a “bearer” to carry it for you!
