Reparations is a lot of liberal nonsense.
The freedom of black slaves was paid for, IN FULL, with the blood of the Union soldiers who fought and died to bring freedom to the slaves.
The mere thought that anything else is owed is highly offensive!
NOT! I think that because his Luo family was involved in the Arab slave trade,(not all that long ago, as British records from the turn of the 20th century would show) all the proceeds from Soetoro and Ayers' book "Dreams of My Father" should be seized and paid to the descendants of slaves.
The Luo of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Somalia were the Arab slave traders' facilitators in the East African Slave Trade. Probably still are in the Sudan!
The Muslims of the Barbary Coast also seized many Europeans as slaves, as many as 2 million ... and well into the 19th century! They even raided seaside towns in France, Italy, and Yugoslavia to kidnap them! Englishmen, Scots, Irish slaves were grabbed at sea, or as they traded in Spanish ports. They were sold into the Turkish Empire. I therefore also demand reparations.
