That’s a hell of an exaggeration, my friend. (Although Barack Obama famously/infamously said that American Muslim community is larger than many Muslim majority nations.) India has about 14% Muslim population (equivalent in percentage to the African American population in the US). It comes down to over 160 million Muslims in India, the third largest in the world, closely following Indonesia and Pakistan.
