It’s sad to watch someone just destroy themselves and in spite of the obvious psychological pathology I can’t help but think that Chaz’s money and the lack of any ethics by her/his doctors is on full display by this mutilated thing dressed in a man’s suit.

Exactly. Many celebrities are used to instant gratification, so they figure all that's required is that they act a certain way or buy/do a certain thing and they will be 'happy'.

After they do or get whatever 'it' is, they still aren't 'happy' and they don't know why. Then their behavior becomes even more outlandish to compensate.

Their parents never taught them that happiness isn't something you can acquire... it comes from within.
