Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad admitted his involvement in the terror plot to FBI agents who arrested him late Monday at New York's JFK airport...
Shahzad, who had been the subject of a huge manhunt, almost made it out of the country on a Emirates flight to Dubai, with a planned connection onward to Pakistan..
"He appeared real close to getting away," one federal official said. "The plane was buttoned up. Backed away from the jetway."
Authorities said that despite the manhunt, his passport had not been flagged and he was able to buy a ticket with cash and clear airport security.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, while refusing to criticize any agency Tuesday morning, said Shahzad was "clearly on the plane and shouldn't have been."

Course, I wouldn’t see a issue if he were flying from Memphis to Nashville, and paid $120 in cash for a one-way ticket. But a guy shows up and wants a $1500 ticket to Dubai...and pays cash? Something here doesn’t sound right. But then...how many terrorists have ever used a credit card? And of the 19 9-11 guys...how many of them used cash...just out of curiosity?

I don’t get the big deal about the foreclosure...knowing this was in his future, why would anyone be surprised that he didn’t pay? Besides, he’s a democrat.

Why is it that jihadi bombers get to fly the friendly skies and 6 year old American white boys named John Smith can’t make it through security without getting flagged as terrorists?
I was flying out of Long Island a few years ago and was put in the suspected terrorist line because they said I had a one way ticket. No, my airline had bumped me to another carrier! This just shows how ridiculous and inept our system really is...

No matter how you cut it, the Feds messed up. The airport called the Feds....but it sounds like they didn’t notify the pilot.

Another great (near)success story for the jihadis. The fecking “Underwear Bomber’’ got on the the plane, no luggage, no passport, no problem(and the bomb) This guy pulls out 15 hundred in Ben Franklins and nobody’s suspicious of this. I feel so very safe today. Knowing the best people are on the job out there. I’m wondering too when Mike Bloomberg is going to apologize for opening up his big yap yesterday.
