Palin introduced by Tiahrt

" Sarah Palin hailed Wichita as a city of "hard working and patriotic liberty-loving Americans" during a rousing speech Sunday night at Intrust Bank Arena.

The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, appearing at a fund-raiser for the Bethel Life School Association of Wichita, spoke to a crowd of a few thousand people.

The evening had a few technical glitches. Problems with the sound system led to several short delays before the speech. Entertainer Pat Boone, who hosted the event, filled some of the time by leading the audience in a round of "Rock My Soul in the Bosom of Abraham."

And during the speech, Palin's image disappeared from the large video screens above the floor.

But her fans greeted her with a loud cheer as Palin opened with the question: "Do you love your freedom?"

Palin also paid tribute to Kansas political leaders Dwight Eisenhower, Bob Dole and Rep. Todd Tiahrt, R-Goddard, who introduced her."

Hate to sound cynical, but I was there, and I am not convinced that the "technical problems" were an accident.

Even with the sound and video problems, Todd Tiahrt and Sarah Palin, and Pat Boone, for that matter, all did a wonderful job!

I like Tiahrt better than the more moderate candidate, Moran. When is this primary?

The Primary is in August.

It will be close, but I think Tiarht will pull off a win for conservatives.

Moran votes the right way, most of the time, but Moran hangs around with, supports, and is supported by RINO’s!

This is an old story, but I am concerned with the latest polling showing Moran well ahead.

I am pulling for Tiahrt. I know Moran and he’s a nice guy. But, Tiahrt is more conservative, and I want him to win this.

The polls really cant be trusted much, since Moran will be popular in the 1st and Tiahrt will be popular in the 4th.

I think the numbers are really MUCH closer than the polling suggests.

I would also submit that Moran WANTS to be the front runner, that is why Moran is running so much radio advertising.

I am not sure that Moran is playing this very smart, which is fine with me.

I want Tiahrt to win, since Tiahrt will WORK for the conservative cause, and Tiahrt will RECRUIT more conservatives for us, if elected!
