I’ve been thinking about this since it first appeared on Drudge. I’m pretty sure that it was a White House “leak” because the story is so ridiculous. If you read the whole inside story, you find that the story might be substantiated if they can get their hands on hotel video of the two together. Well, the video that they are talking about is hotel security video from 2004. Just plain ridiculous. Even the Enquirer would never run a story based on the possibility of finding a six year old security tape.

So, why? Well maybe it’s just as a distraction, something to ridicule conservatives for talking about. They won’t be talking about the birth certificate anymore, now that Arizona has made it a requirement. If he keeps taunting people over the birth certificate, other states might just do the same as Arizona. So, Obama needs a new distraction.
