HAMILTON, Ohio --An area lawmaker and law enforcement official known for their tough stances on illegal immigration have asked Ohio officials for legislation similar to a controversial Arizona law.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones and state Rep. Courtney Combs sent letters Tuesday to Gov. Ted Strickland, Senate President Bill Harris and Speaker of the House Armond Budish urging them to develop and pass a law that mirrors Arizona's Senate Bill 1070.

Are the illegal Canadians taking all the minimum-wage jobs, filling the ERs, on welfare, and increasing the crime rate of Ohio communities?
Believe it or not, we have our share of illegals here. Mainly migrant workers, I think.
The illegal Mexicans DON’T stop in the Southwest;this area is home now to many illegals.
Awesome. Obama HATES states rights, as any dictator would.
Since no one in the government wants to do anything about the illegals, I have to believe it’s about the drug money. Follow the money and you’ll likely see what’s going on. What other reason could there be to not close the borders? I think that if our government doesn’t step up, more and more people are going to arm themselves and people are going to get hurt. States rights have to be enforced and keep the Feds out of their business.
Ping.
need to encourage all the border states to demonstrate solidarity with Arizona....
Just like drug money is never mentioned in all the stories about "gun violence" and the fact that most of the people shot are young black men late at night on streets near bars, clubs, and drive-up street corner drug sellers.
I advocate immediate deportation of illegal people and also legalization of drugs but keeping the penalties for all acts done under the influence of the drugs just as being drunk doesn't,or shouldn't, excuse your acts.
OK Ohio, lets get it done.
First Arizona passed a bill.
Now Texas and Ohio are thinking about this.
Hey zero, whatca goona do when all the states do this??
Hey, the Federal government isn’t going to do anything about it - for political reasons.
First Arizona passed a bill.
Now Texas and Ohio are thinking about this.
Hey zero, what’ca gonn’a do when all the states do this??
OK.....what other reason would you give for not closing the borders? Who is going to gain anything from this decision?
And are you suggesting money could be used to buy our politicians?I'd say that is a sure thing.
They wouldn’t do that would they? When was the last time you saw a politician come into office broke and leave broke? The only one I can recall is President Truman.
Toledo would drop 35 spots in the Arbitron ratings...

Add UT & MO to that.
Good. Maybe we the states can send a message to zero.
I wrote to my state rep in TN and he’s bringing it up next session.
