Gov. David A. Paterson will ask the State Legislature to let him begin furloughing as many as 100,000 state workers each week until the stalled 2010 state budget is in place.

The governor today also said the state's fiscal picture is at crisis proportions, and wants lawmakers to also end their three-day workweek in Albany and remain at the Capitol at least five days a week until the budget is adopted.

“I’m trying not to be acrimonious,” Paterson told reporters this afternoon.

The Porkulus dollars are spent and now it’s time to layoff a bunch of government “workers” that should have been toast a year ago.

Every country, state, province and city are coming to a big decision - and soon.

'There is enough cash to pay all gov. workers for a month or just the police force for a year. No one will lend us anymore money - which direction should we take?'

Maybe he can replace turnpike people, cashiers for electronic payment and machines that dispense the place of entry onto turnpikes.

6 of our states are worse off than Greece. CA is 30 times the economy of GReece, and, tax receipts for this month are 50% off from last April with only a couple of days to go. THey have collected about $5 billion this month instead of $10+ billion last year.

nobama is genius. He said he would redistribute wealth...he hates freedom...he hates America...he wants to be king. The idiots who voted for him should off themselves or at least wander the wilderness begging for alms. What a bunch of ungrateful losers the whole bunch is.
