ALL ALIENS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE ID. You have to have your green card or 1-94 with you when in the USA.

But how could you tell an alien from a citizen? What papers would a citizen have to carry?

What about citizens that look like illegals, that do not carry an ID around when they’re walking?
