Pandering for the Mexican vote. Yeah, there is a better way to handle illegal immigration — the FEDS should have been doing their job a long time ago. Maybe Meg should be addressing the REAL problem. The malfeasance of the federal government.

It seems to me that the Arizona law is a litmus test for RINOs. Everyone who has stated they are against it should be certified as RINO. Voters beware.

Well, I'm not taking sides in the California race; I just don't know that much about the candidates, but I'm not a fan of this law, either. I think it gives the police way too much power to be able to stop me on the street and demand I prove I'm here legally.

Flame away, I know I'm in the minority on this one.

“I’m a big believer in, ‘What are the two or three things that will make the biggest difference here?”’

So many words, so little said. If she has a real solution, she would say it.

We have to force politicians to step up to the bar.

Rubio came out against it as well, get used to it folks. They are NOT going to support that law in states like Florida and California.

“Meg Whitman, the Republican front-runner in the California gubernatorial primary, said Tuesday that Arizona is taking the wrong approach to illegal immigration with its tough new law.”

PLEASE, California, don’t do it!!!! Meg is a McCainiac!

She wants the state and federal governments to spend more money on border security and favors sanctions against employers who hire illegal workers. Employers would face increasing fines and suspensions, leading to the permanent suspension of their California business license after a third violation.

Whitman also wants to ban the admission of undocumented students to state-funded colleges.

These are not entirely bad ideas. However, the state does not have resources to properly patrol the border, a job the fed gov't refuses to do. I like the third idea -- immensely.

Politically, her response was stupid. The CA problem (different electorate) is different than the AZ problem. She should have avoided the AZ issue completely. She should have also pointed out explicit steps the state of CA could do to seal their borders if that is her proposal. Kicking the problem to the fed gov't is stupid -- more victim mentality.

Of course, the AP is doing everything it can do to push the marxist policies of this administration. Part of how this information was presented is no doubt by the design of the AP.
