Secrecy is the keystone to all tyranny
Captain Dave Funk ^ | April 26, 2010 | Captain Dave Funk

Yet another example of the left’s promised transparency. Senators Liebermann, Kerry and Graham have taken the Obama Energy Tax Bill and skipped taking it to a committee and handed it over to Senator Reid so when he deems the time is right, Reid can ram it down our throats and take more of our hard earned money. The promises of transparency are being disregarded on all fronts and nothing but quiet on this issue thus far from either side of the aisle.

Robert A. Heinlein said it best, “Secrecy is the keystone to all tyranny. Not force, but secrecy and censorship. When any government or church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, ‘This you may not read, this you must not know,’ the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man who has been hoodwinked in this fashion; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, whose mind is free. No, not the rack nor the atomic bomb, not anything. You can’t conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him.”

The US Congress has destroyed all trust with the American people. All they can do is sit behind closed doors and cunningly see who can justify the highest tax rates possible, plotting more power grabs and ways of eliminating the freedom of the American people. This type of behavior is destructive at best.

Hey Captain Funk, get with the program:
A bipartisan group of senators, including Lieberman, had aimed to unveil on Monday a climate change bill, a cornerstone of the Obama administration's energy strategy, but the plan was called off when Republican Senator Lindsey Graham raised 11th-hour objections.

Graham, seen as a bridge to win over other Republicans, said he could not support the deal if Democrats pushed ahead with a debate on an overhaul of U.S. immigration policy before voting on the huge environmental and energy legislation.

This is part of a letter I sent to 100 congressmen through Grassfire.

‘No CO 2 Cap and Trade No CO2 Regulations No CO2 Tax
I have read the Spain’s “Green Jobs” report. I know all about “Climate Gate”. IPCC is just another UN corrupted organization.

I demand Free Market Solution to LOWER our cost of Heath Care. If given a mandate between buying a ”Product” to live in our United States or going to Jail , I choose JAIL.

I’m going to push for more sunshine laws. If it takes putting audio and video recording devices in very hook and cranny in every corner of every room in Washington, so be it. There will be so much light it will make the streets of London look like the dark side of the moon.

STOP YOUR OUT CONTROLL SPENDING.’

Just remember, Corporations, Unions and NGO may provide you with legal bribe money, but they can’t vote. I Vote and I refuse go down that “California Road to Prosperity”.
