PHOENIX (AP) -- President Barack Obama called an Arizona immigration bill "misguided" Friday and said it could violate people's civil rights, intensifying pressure on the state's Republican governor to veto the nation's toughest legislation against illegal immigration.
Obama said he's instructed the Justice Department to examine the Arizona bill to see if it's legal, and said the federal government must enact immigration reform at the national level - or leave the door open to "irresponsibility by others...."

Maybe he should sit down with the entire state and discuss this over a few beers.
Who are these people he’s worried about? Oh yes, the illegals, not the citizens.
HEY OBOZO - WHAT PART OF ILLEGAL DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? These illegal immigrants do not have civil rights under the U.S. constitution and the Gov. needs to control the border - if the Feds won’t, then state governments should step in and enforce the law.
Most Arizonans are not sheep and usually do what they want to do. I suppose now we’ll be seeing a bunch of liberal bull**** about “No Super Bowl for you” and other liberal crybaby threats. Oh well. We can live with their threats.
Leave it to an Arizona woman to have the cojones to stand up to Obama.

Now maybe we’ll get something done on immigration reform. In the meantime, we are better equipped to protect Arizona families.

I don’t think Obama realizes how upset people are with the way this country is going — Healthcare, Cap and Trade, Immigration, Education, etc., etc. He’s oblivious to it.
I supposed the next election will decide whether this country is going to be America or like a socialized European nation.

I would love to live in AZ, and this past week makes me want to even more. At least our FL legislature is acting equally as rebellious these days.
