Portal, Arizona, is the site of a biology research station that attracts people from all around the United States. The cabins can be rented to tourists who want to do some birding or hiking in the Chiricahua Mountains. Unfortunately, tourism is down, and the economy is not to blame. There are many wonderful sites that Arizonans won’t visit because of the presence of illegals and illegal activity.
I hope the AZ governor stands strong on the new law. She’s keeping her cards VERY close to the chest.
