DeMint encourages Rossi to run for Senate in Washington state (NO!!)
The Hill ^ | 4/21/10 | Aaron BLake

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) is endorsing a lot of Senate candidates running against the GOP establishment. But that won't be the case if Dino Rossi runs in Washington state.

DeMint told the Ballot Box that, if the former gubernatorial candidate gets in the race, Rossi can expect his support - and that of his Senate Conservatives Fund.

"Rossi certainly would be a great candidate," DeMint said. "I’m almost certain he would have our full support if he jumped in."

No, not under the bus. Rossi is OK. But he’s about as tough as a wet kleenex.

Rossi is the milquetoast who let that fagged out Gregoire recount the vote until she won the governor's race, right? Good grief... No, I don't think conservatives want Rossi anywhere near the Capitol building. We need fighters with guts.

This is how I see it. We need 60 seats in the US Senate in 2013 to repeal 0bamacare. That is the # 1 issue for me right now. How is this Didier doing in the polls against Murray?
I know Rossi is polling ahead of Murry in Rasmussen polls right now .
As long as Rossi is for repealing 0bamcare, he will just have to do, given that he stands a pretty good chance of beating Murray.

I've got no problem with Clint but who the heck is running is campaign? “A Game Plan For Washington”? How absolutely lame.
This is no “game”. And the Left knows it and will pound him with that one word. It makes his whole effort seem trivial...sort’a like a...wait for it...a “game”.

Didier is the better man, from what I’ve heard, but we need someone who can win in the libtard state of Washington. That may be the reason why de Mint is willing to back Rossi, because de Mint is not a party-before-everything kind of guy.

THis is the first year in ages where a rock ribbed conservative stands a real chance of gaining a Wash state Senate seat. I’m not going to support the milquetoast candidate.

I will NOT subscribe to the electability argument. Those rules are way over for me.

I like almost all of the GOP candidates. They just need to get the act together & decide.

Rossi’s not THAT bad. He’s nothing like Crist...who is CLEARLY more comfortable with Democrats than Republicans (although he does fake it well when money is being offered).

But does he have a real chance though?
He is polling poorly by

Clint Didier (R) 30%

Patty Murray (D) 49%

against Murray.

You ain’t going to convince me to vote for Rossi. 3/4 of Washingtonians have never heard of Didier yet. But they will.

Immigration is good. We are a nation of immigrants. However, the debate – and the problems we face today – is about illegal immigration. Therefore, we need to enforce existing immigration laws. We are a nation of laws, yet our elected have chosen to ignore them.

As a farmer, I know agriculture has a need for farm workers, especially since present labor laws make it hard to employ our young people to do any work on the farm.

We need to revamp and revisit the “guest worker program” which once offered temporary visas for those wishing to come from other countries to work for a limited amount of time and then return home. Like many other federal bureaucratic programs, the government has made today’s “guest worker program” so complicated, cumbersome, and expensive, it is difficult for an employer to utilize.

The government through its unwillingness to control illegal immigration has unfairly placed the burden of proving employee legal status on the back of the employer. The difference between real and counterfeit documents is difficult, if not impossible, to determine. Immigration raids conducted at the work place have proven disastrous to employer and worker alike. A workable system to provide legal temporary workers in industries dependent upon this type of labor is crucial.

Oh! Oh! Didier sounds a little like McCain on this issue. I wonder how he proposes to deal with the 12 to 20 million already here? And guest worker programs don't work. I wonder if Clint has ever heard of the E-Verify program.
