McAmnesty’s office told me last week he is against amnesty after I stated his pro amnesty stance in the past. He couldn’t be more disingenuous.

With all due respect to Chris Simcox, he’s wrong. Quote: for almost three decades, McCain had the office and the opportunity to help close the borders to illegal aliens, and he did nothing.
McCain did a lot more than “nothing,” Chris. He actually went out of his way to keep the border open. McCain’s wasn’t a neutral, do-nothing position.

McCains move, announced Monday, is a dramatic shift right from his more moderate, far-left, Progressive, comprehensive approach to most immigration issues.

“Shameful election year politics” pretty well describes it. I might add it is a more civil description than I would furnish.

Is there a pool for when and reason yet?

IMHO, the smartest thing JD could do at this point, is start showing ads - McCain stating his ‘promise’ to close the border, and then his YouTube clips of saying the opposite and his ‘amnesty’ bill that he put together with Ted Kennedy.
Politicians should be aware that there are cameras and mics everywhere, now. And we WON’T forget!

McCain is not fooling anyone. We know what he is all about.
He'll say anything to get elected and do anything to get amnesty for those already here...even if they arrive tomorrow.
McCain has to be defeated.

The Arizona Republican, whos seeking a fifth term this fall, is now supporting an Arizona bill that allows law enforcement officers to demand proof of citizenship even if they just suspect illegal status and detain suspects until the federal authorities can determine their citizenship.
That bill passed the state Senate this afternoon and is on its way to the Gov. Opponents are holding a 24 prayer vigil outside the Gov office (and also protested at her residence over the weekend) in hopes they can persuade her to veto it. She has not indicated what her position will be. Since she was elevated to Gov when Crappy Nappy left the state to worship at Obama's feet, she is running for re-election. If she wants a chance to win the primary she better sign it.
