The story I saw went like this, that bf got sick and died, gay live-in bf was persona non grata with the surviving family and got shut out of a) the funeral solemnities and b) decedent's property.

Many cries of injustice, prejudice, and narrow, phobic hatefulness. It was never discussed in the typical story whether complaining survivor bf was the person who gave the decedent AIDS, or why, if he provably were not, the family should be glad to see him as an exponent of the community that killed their son/kinsman.
