Tax hikes forever. Despite O's denial
NY Post ^ | April 13, 2010 | Rich Lowry

Nearly everyone understands that his taxes just went up.

President Obama won't admit it, although he must suffer from a guilty conscience. He uncorked a defensive 17-minute-long answer in response to a question at a town-hall meeting about new taxes in the health-care bill, complaining about a lot of misinformation" without citing any.

In his cascade of words, Obama didn't get around to mentioning the $500 billion in new taxes during the first 10 years of the health bill. And they're merely a prelude.

It doesn't take an economist to understand what public debt at Greece-like levels of 90 percent of GDP by 2020 inevitably portends. Nor to realize the effects of the yawning disconnect between federal spending at 24 percent of GDP and revenue at 19 percent of GDP. Nor to understand the most basic of all budgetary concepts -- that the bill, after the fizzy party, after all the huzzahs over "making history," always comes due, and with interest.

Zero is going to be very surprised to find out that some of us are making no money to pay taxes on. I guess that will mean he will have to go into our savings. What a total embarresment this guy is.

“...he must suffer from a guilty conscience...”
Other than this error, it’s a good editorial.

NOT surprised, at all. This is the plan. It gives them an excuse to confiscate whatever they wish, in any manner they wish, from whomever has anything to confiscate, with the approval of everyone who is suffering, regardless of the cause of the pain. Then, they can dole out pittances, as needed, while making sure the vast majority of the theft remains under their control, with a goodly portion going directly to themselves.

And they always manage to find taxes. For example, the self-employed pay the *self-employment tax”, even if they have a loss. They may get a *refund*, a year later, but until they give up, stop all reported work and begin taking *benefits*, they pay _something_ for the privilege of trying to make a living. The government forces any business that is essential, such as utilities, to tax everyone and remit it to the state, regardless of the consequences. Then they can demonize the mandated enforcement as *greed*.

It isn’t *enough*, but then, nothing is.

Embarrassment? He’s a deadly terminal disease.

The K&K Argentine government did just that about a year ago. They confiscated everybody’s 401K-style retirement account.

When I saw Hildebeast’s photo-op with Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner I had to wonder whether they were talking about that as a way for governments to raise some quick cash.

He is gonna be real surprised to find out that the baby boomers making big bucks before choose not to support this nonsense (make no money) and instead sign up for every program possible if this really goes into effect. If this ahole wants to bankrupt our system, let’s give him the fast track.
