I drive past a “Section 8” publicly subsidized apartment complex everyday. It is a mile from my house. Today, there was a guy standing on his balcony in this complex, talking on a cell phone. What struck me was that he did not have one, but TWO small, modern TV satellite dishes mounted to the rail of his balcony. Two satellite dishes and a cell phone. This is the “poor” in America??????

A couple of years ago, I read a news story where the reporter asked an illegal immigrant why he wanted to come to the United States.

He replied, “Because I want to live where poor people are fat!”
