Asking about the USA sending "trainers" is maybe a little unintentionally vague -- because the US Military frequently does training exercises with the Israeli Defense Force, as one of the few foreign militaries able to give our guys a workout using well-matched but "alien" equipment and tactics. So, yeah, we're "training" Israeli troops; just as they are training ours.
But that's hardly "favoritism" towards Israel; I think our guys would be happy to play in the Arab kids' sandbox, too, if any of them fielded a Military establishment which was advanced and competent enough to be worth training against -- it's just that none of them do. Turkey, maybe -- but even that, is with our help.
I close with a couple quotes on the matter from a great American Congressman and his former chief staffer:
"There is one target with such enormous strategic importance that for it be taken out is so unthinkable that literally everything hinges on it not just today but permanently. This target is ground zero of a balance of power strategy that has been operational for 1400 years. It is a granite cubicle called the Kaaba. Inside it is a black stone, which Muslims believe was found by Abraham and Ishmael. For hundreds of millions of Muslims, this is the holiest of relics. If these two religious objects inside Mecca were ever obliterated, the survival of Islam might be called into question." -- Dr. Gary North (former Chief Aide to Congressman Ron Paul)
In case of emergency, Mecca Delenda Est.
There is nothing honorable about Ronald Paul’s anti-Israel policy.
Israel nuclear weaponry has never been confirmed.
