“MSNBC, whose left-leaning commentary has been far more critical of the movement, has dropped 15 percent of its audience.”

You can only listen to so much hate.

I bitched at the time about what a foolish mission the switch to digital TV was, but no more. I bought a converter for my boob tube but it was a piece of junk and only gave me a fraction of what was available before. Then it quit altogether. Since then I have been blissfully television free.

I can still catch the salient portions of news online and without supporting the Government Owned Media.

I’m glad that they didn’t think this thing through!

I gave up ALL tv two years ago. Don’t miss it a bit. Between the Internet and the radio I stay pretty well informed.

Ditto me, except I gave it up over ten years ago. I don't have a working television in my house and don't miss it a bit.

He got a BIG chuckle out of the ratings that showed that the audience for The Cartoon Network was larger than that of CNN and MSNBC combined.”

Well the cartoon network makes a heck of a lot more sense than MSNBC and CNN combined.

Calling your viewers and their family members, the vulgar homosexual term ‘teabaggers’ seemed sooo funny to them at the time. Accusing them of being racists, Having congress members on to call the American citizenry names and accuse them, seemed cool at the time.

WE SURROUND THEM.

Take the Hill, starve, repeal and replace the bill.

I occasionally watch a show on Syfy or maybe one of the other channels, but my TV’s been mostly off since about 1999...TV is a good addiction to break.

When your “stars” are an old drunk like Jack Cafferty, a hit and run driver like Rick Sanchez, Larry King (who most people think is dead - including those watching his show) Campbell Brown and Anderson Cooper, you have no stars.

CNN’s Larry King, however, has slipped to No. 16 in the rankings, drawing only 655,000 viewers, or less than half of what O’Reilly draws for late-night reruns.....

HEHEHEHHEHE!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the reason for the drop in CNN and MSNBC ratings is because as the people have turned against Obama they have tuned out these pro administration stations. People are more comfortable listening to FNC which more people agree with their views.

L-word: more proof that TV today, with the exception of Fox News and the occasional middle-of-the-road documentary on PBS, has no redeeming value. TV makes idiots.

I enjoy imagining that the reason is deeper than that; and hope there’s something to it. Maybe it’s possible that people have more knowledge and a broader perspective now because of the Internet. So, they see the shallowness and stupidity of CNN, MSNBC, etc. Also - I think CNN has gotten worse over the years. Not that they were ever great. MSNBC - not sure if that was ever anything.

You left out the most important word when you borrowed from my post:

occasional middle of the road documentary from PBS.
