NATIONAL DEMS TO THROW SUPPORT BEHIND LANDRIEU IN MAYOR'S RACE IN EXCHANGE FOR MARY'S VOTE

Jan 3,2010---Once believed to be the front runner in the New Orleans mayoral election, Senator Edward Murray has dropped out! Sources tell THE DEAD PELICAN that Murray's exit has made Lt. Governor Mitch Landerieu the new front runner, and it will he will be difficult to beat.
This is partly because the DNC plans to provide massive amounts of cash in support of Landrieu's mayoral bid. Mitch's backing by the DNC comes as part of a deal his sister Sen Mary Landrieu struck with the Obama White House.
Landrieu received $300 million in medicaid/Katrina funding in exchange for her vote to begin debate on the Obama health care proposal. But sources say that Landrieu's vote has also secured DNC support for her brother Mitch in the New Orleans mayor's race. "She's doing something nice for little bro' on her way out," said a top insider....who expects Landrieu to lose reelection.

FOR YOUR REFERENCE A provision in the Senate bill fashioned by Sen Reid sends $100 million to Louisiana to cover Medicaid "for the poor." Plus $200 Million for (cough) Katrina costs. Louisiana's Mary Landrieu (posing as a holdout) said, as the 8 PM vote loomed: "I've decided that there are enough significant reforms and safeguards in this bill to move forward."
(Sniff) Landrieu voted "for the poor." Now she can flaunt her "tolerance and compassion (sob).

We need to connect the dots to those who voted for O/Care and connect it to their federal and state campaign finance filings. If public money in O/Care was legislated for one purpose then converted to campaign donations, that is illegal.
ACTION The FBI should interrogate Landrieu and her associates to determine what they received of value---money, jobs, campaign contributions, political cover---in exchange for votes, and the extent of the collusion to misuse Congressional influence.
POSSIBLE CHARGES: illegal conversions; facilitating govt fraud; official acts prohibited; misuse of Congressional funds; abuse of public office; violating oath of office; misuse of government position; abuse of government power; conflict of interest; influence buying; conspiracy to deceive; misuse of elective office, collusion, conspiracy to collude; falsifying official documents, presenting false instruments for filing.
Landrieu's official campaign finance records filed with the FEC, and state election commissions, should be scrutinized for possible violations. (a) Determine if names of contributors are legit, (b) whether campaign contributions were disguised. (d) whether she colluded and agreed to give/get something of value, campaign assistance, campaign cash, a govt gratuity, jobs for relatives, etc, in exchange for votes.
