Burns is running the special election and hes starting to put up his adds now. That's great that he is putting up his adds, but I will feel much better when he begins putting up his ads. :^)
Come November, it'll be the other way around.
Yes, why we are not making a play to assist Lynch next week is beyond me.
Dont Underestimate Michael Steele’s abilities to Undermine and Destroy Our Republican Ideals and Morals enough to give Victory to the RATS in November!
Probably not but the speculation is fun.
And Murtha said so in the last election.
No, they'll accelerate passing Shamnesty, because it will be a matter of life and death. Yes, they will likely attempt to ram Amnesty through before the August recess. However, here's my take on Amnesty: As we saw just a few weeks ago, the House passed ObamaCare by only a few votes. The BIGGEST problem Democrat Representatives had in supporting ObamaCare was WHICH poor bastard was going to vote FOR it and “take one” for the team. The very fact they're scrambling to save these two formerly Dem seats in Special Elections that should be “in the bag” for them, is proof ANY Democratic Political Capital they may have gained from ObamaCare — even in these formerly Democratic-controlled districts — has already faded away. TWO more Dem losses via Special Elections would make this even more self evident, even though Nancy Pelosi would never admit to it. It will ALSO send a very clear message to RINOs who may be thinking of supporting Amnesty, as well. IMO, with 9.7% unemployment and the general mood of the electorate, there's NO appetite — or political capital left — to ram Amnesty through this year. It's just show for the lobbies who support it. |
He didn’t see the purpose?
Okay, ya got me!!! ; )
A special election is required by the US Constitution (Article 1, Section 2):
When vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies.
So Patterson should have no discretion on this matter!
Of course, this wouldn't be the first time that an elected 'Rat official sworn to uphold the Constitution has flouted it!
your right. its a leftico planted story.
"Yes, the danger is that if the Democrats lose these seats, "Fox News and the Republicans" will try to claim that the Hawaii and Pennsylvania races are reflections of the voters unhappiness with the Democratic Party's agenda, the same way they did after the elections in Massachussetts, New Jersey and Virginia."
Hopefully, they'll keep acting like this concept is insane right through losing 15 more governships, both houses of congress and the White House.
Then we could find out what it looks like on the other side!
Like a Republican from Main or a bucket of spit.
“The fact that Murtha got elected so many times...”
Means Pubbies could’nt/would’nt post an enthusiastic candidate...and/or that the Democratic Poll “watchers” knew exactly how many to manufacture after the poles closed...
The enemy of my enemy can still be my enemy.
UPI is still in business? Who knew?
I’m hearing alot of buzz among local Republicans that the thing to do is vote for Burns in the special and Russell in the primary.
The thinking is that way Republicans get two shots at beating Critz. The concern is that Burns could be beaten in the special and just barely win the primary. Having to go up against Critz in November after already losing to him once is less appealing than having Russell go at Critz in November. Russell wouldn’t carry the baggage of a prior defeat by Critz.
Just teasing. Thanks for being such a good sport.
