I spent one year in New Zealand. It IS definitely where I would go - not ONE second of hesitation - if I had to leave this great country (and if I had the money...) . They are pretty tough on immigration also. But people are the NICEST in the world - the country is absolutely gorgeous - we had a car problem and got stuck on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, near Bay of Island up north - 10 minutes later a farmer came and told us we could stay with them until our car is fixed...took 4 days - for 4 days they feed us and we slept there and all - incredible people there. Freedom, smile, beauty and all.

I agree - I spent a year in Australia and New Zealand and absolutely loved it. I would move to the South Island of New Zealand if I had to, but I love my home town in Washington State and am willing to fight to keep it rural and me free.
