Lyrics:
No love, no hope in sight, Don't cry, he is coming, Don't die without knowing the cross.
Ghettos 2 the left of us, Flowers 2 the right, There'll be bread 4 all of us, If we can just bear the cross.
Sweet song of salvation, A pregnant mother sings, She lives in starvation, Her children need all that she brings.
We all have our problems, Some BIG, some are small. Soon all of our problems, Will be taken by the cross.
Black day, stormy night, No love, no hope in sight, Don't cry 4 he is coming, Don't die without knowing the cross.
Ghettos 2 the left of us, Flowers 2 the right, There'll be bread 4 all, y'all, If we can just, just bear the cross, yeah.
We all have our problems, Some are BIG, some are small, Soon all of our problems, y'all, Will be taken by the cross.
The cross.
The cross.

Join us in greeting Fellow Freepers as we celebrate the resurrection
Please share with your ping lists and May we be ever so vigilant in understanding the great threat to our free practice of our faith that is now so evident. Have fun with the Easter bunny, colored eggs & family fun fests BUT do not forget the babe in the manager who is the hope of our faith!
This is a three day thread for folks to drop in as they wish to greet others, share recipes, ideas, express joy, sadness, BUT NOT FUSS AT EACH OTHER ... HOPEFULLY! LOL

Thank you for this beautiful thread.
I had the honor of reading at tonite’s service for Holy Thursday. My first major service.
I also have the honor of working for a Priest. The best job I have ever had in my life.

I just returned from a Maundy Thursday service where a Jews for Jesus missionary did a presentation on Christ in the Passover. It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.

I’m going to see if it’s on YouTube or their own website.

Hi Dolly!
Just got back from Holy Thursday Mass awhile ago.
We started a tradition to have roast lamb on this evening after Mass anumber of years ago. I cook it over a grill in the afternoon, and then keep it warm in the oven until we come back from church. We also have salad, rolls, and wine. A wonderful commemoration of the Passover Meal.

Thank you, DollyCali, for that beautiful initial posting on this thread and for the thread itself!! (And if yuou will listen to the linked song below and ping everyone to this post so they can hear this song also - I will appreciate it)
Hallelujah!
Yes - He came to seek and to save the lost:
He died on that cruel cross to take away the sins of the world (which involves so much we can hardly take it all in!)
To save the lost (that’s all of us before we know Him)
Save = SOZO in Greek = to make whole (is one of the meanings) Jesus came to make us whole!
The saving, healing, life transforming river that flowed from that cross - the river of the blood of Jesus - is still flowing today. It is an eternal river.
We are all broken and need His healing, forgiving, saving love of Jesus.
This Good Friday, may all come and “dive in” to that River!
He will wash away all our sins and make us every bit whole and - and as we know through His Resurrection - He will make us new!
Please watch/listen to Kim Hopper sing, “The River” by Cindy Morgan.
It will bring you healing! In Jesus’ wonderful name!

Happy Good Friday, and Resurrection Day on Sunday!
and Maranatha!
(see thread about the very soon to occur Rapture of the church = all who belong to Jesus - if you have not yet seen it.)

Have a Blessed Resurrection day! As the song says...
"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, Because he lives, all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living Just because.. HE LIVES!"
