kudos to that military officer for keeping a straight face
Now, when do we begin planning the humanitarian mission to save Guam if it tips over?

OK, it sure sounds like he is quite ignorant now. But think about this, from his history:
Johnson graduated from Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University) in 1976, was a member of Omega Psi Phi Kappa Alpha Alpha Chapter, Decatur, GA, and Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston in 1979; he practiced law in Decatur, Georgia for more than 25 years. He was elected to the DeKalb County Commission in 2000 and served two terms. Prior to his service on the Commission, he worked as an Associate Magistrate Judge for ten years.[4]
The guy made it through college AND Law School, he was a practicing lawyer, and served as a judge for 10 years.
It is almost impossible to believe he was this stupid all his life. He has Hepititus C -- does that rot brain cells? Or maybe he has some other form of dementia, sad as that might be.
Or is it just that, being Black, he was able to do all those things while believing that islands are floating in the water?
I still love how the Admiral answered him with a straight face, as if the question made sense. It must be tough having to testify before Congress.

If only he knew how to operate the ballast tanks, he could save the island.

So far as I can tell, he is running for re-election. He is also a current member of the House leadership, so they not only don’t have a problem with him, they have elected him to a top position in the party — he’s the best and the brightest they have to offer.
OK, I don’t even believe that they believe that. He’s one of their affirmative action picks, meant to placate the Congressional Black Caucus.
To: ianschwartz
No worries. He knows how to spend your money better than you do. Trust him. He’s the expert and you are the knuckle-dragging cave man. Perhaps we should have a competence requirement to serve in Congress. If we are forced to buy health insurance from the government, surely the government should have some sort of quid pro quo.
To: ianschwartz
Guam is more apt to tip over when Obama visits there in June.. with all the BS he will be piling on the little Island..

Hep C is also a marker for AIDS, and that does affect the brain.
But yeah, he could have been this stupid all his life and no one willing to say that.

His staff should do something. But he’s their meal ticket. Lots of people invested in keeping someone in congress when its best for that person to leave for his own health.
To: ianschwartz
LOL!!!!!!!!!!! The poor officer is poking around on his face trying not to bust out laughing!

Yes, the comeback by the Admiral was great. "We don't anticipate that happening." If it were me, I would have just given him a dumbfounded look and said you can't be that stupid, can you Congressman? That admiral deserves a Navy Achievement medal for that performance. Perhaps we should even consider a Navy Cross since that was earned in legislative combat.
As for your statement about him going through college and law school, therefore he can't be dumb. I beg to differ. I have a bachelors degree and I can tell you there were a lot of dumb people (including professors) going through college.

He ONLY WRITES THE LAWS for our country. GULP!!!!!!! This person decided what kind and how much Healthcare you will receive in the future.
Scary?
That is ridicules

You do have a point here. Let's be honest with ourselves. The video evidence submitted shows this poor Hank Johnson fellow to be so stupid he can't remember to draw the next breath without referring to crib notes written on the back of his arm.
I didn't think it was actually possible for a person to be so mentally incapacitated that they would be ineligible to serve as a U. S. Congressman, but I think we've found someone who fits that description.

Global warming is the only thing keeping Guam safe. Otherwise the icebergs would attack and sink it like the Titanic.
