It's actually very much a pull back from our traditional support of Israel.
0bama could care less about Jewish support ~ he has under-the-table support from the Saudis.

We are headed for the final chapter. The US will turn it’s back on Israel as well. As it is written, Jerusalem will become a cup of poison...What an exciting time to live in and what a blessing that G-d chose us to be in these times. All nations will rise up against Jerusalem, but when Meschiach comes, all will see him and know that the G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob is the only True G-d. All will bow their knees, including obama, who has lots of experience in bowing.
It is in Israel’s interest. We are going to turn our backs on them—it was prophesied..best to turn back to Ha Shem and trust in him rather than US. It was prophesied that all of the world would turn it’s back on Jerusalem, that it would become a cup of poison—let us get started.

In a way I hope Obama does abstain. The sooner he completely turns his back on Israel the sooner his administration will be over.
