Maybe he realized what’s coming and decided he wanted to be on the winning side.

Harding said the distractions caused by his work as a defense contractor would not be good for the administration or the Homeland Security Department. BS...there's more to it than that.

At least they are getting out. I wouldn’t want to be on Obama’s side. He is going down and there is nothing he can do.

[Questions arose after his nomination about a contract his company had with the government to provide interrogators in Iraq. After the government ended the contract early, in 2004, Harding Security Associates claimed more money from termination of the contract than the Defense Department's inspector general said it was entitled to get. The firm refunded $1.8 million of that money in a 2008 settlement with the Defense Intelligence Agency.]
What's the big deal? Possible over-billing or the fact that Gen. Harding supplied contract interrogators in a war denounced by the Left?

President Barack Obama's second choice for transportation security chief has withdrawn from consideration because of questions over his background as a defense contractor. He was thinking that it was a "Czar" appointment for which no questions would be asked.
