Dems bring race issue into A.G. healthcare lawsuits
Washington Times - Water Cooler ^ | 3-26-10 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 03/26/2010 6:03:48 PM PDT by paltz

At a press conference on Thursday morning, Democratic Representatives Sheila Jackson Lee and Al Green, both from Texas, equated the suits filed by fourteen state attorneys general, particularly that of Texas Attorney General Greg Abbot, fighting the health care bill recently passed in Congress, to the suits that were filed following the 1964 Civil Rights Act and 1965 Voting Rights Act. (all emphasis is mine)

“...[with] the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act--lo and behold states' rights activists wanted to use the Commerce Clause then. Then, African Americans were second class citizens. That legislation was to bring them into then the 20th Century and provide them with first class rights,” she said.

Democratic Representatives Sheila Jackson Lee and Al Green . . .

. . . are obsessed with race. Race trumps everything with them. They have a one note song and that note is race.

Yes, we have racists in this country and they come in all colors, but they are disproportionately black.

And what's the bet that those suits brought to stop the civil rights act were filed by democrats? It's always been democrats who want to keep minorities as second class citizens. Don't forget, the KKK was founded as the terrorist arm of the democrat party.

This is why the voting franchise should be restricted to those who have a positive stake in our system of government and society.

Squeala Hackson Leech, is a cancer in Texas. She is the Al Sharpton of the South.
They are always crying racism. As long as the race baiters stay in from of a microphone, this will never stop.
You would think that someone in the Black community would stand up to them, but I doubt that ever happens. I hope Dr Faulk beats SJL.

Maybe they should be referred to as American Africans.

And we see that the only strategy the dumocrats have to rally their base is race. Pathetic. The race has been played and you don’t get to play the same hand twice. Sure indication they know what is coming in November.

Sorry piggies! Most Americans, myself included, have been clobbered with your race card so many times that we’re immune to it. It doesn’t bother us anymore. Especially now that white cracker liberals are also playing it all the time.

If the astronauts woulda planted that American flag in Sheilas hairdo instead of on Mars, I don't think even Hurricane Shaneequa could blow it over.

"Then, African Americans were second class citizens."

I'm sorry, but although it is way un-PC to say so, the vast majority of African-Americans (previouly known as blacks) ARE Second-Class Citizens TODAY because the Socialists/Liberals/Democrats/Leftists After Billions of dollars have been taken from Whitey to give some sort of quasi-reparations to blacks for "previous treatment" of 200+ years ago, with set-asides, affirmative action, food stamps, welfare, Medicaid, assisted-mortgage borrowing, etc., etc., blacks are in their fourth generation of 70% illegitimate births, no fathers in the homes, living in funded housing, living on the public dole, and this is their way of life as they have never experienced self-determinate lifestyles.

Unfortunately, with the State-Run-Media propoganda machine, you can't avoid the stereotypical drumming of "blacks are persecuted" and "racist white folks" that they continually use to ensure the blacks stay on the Plantation, aka, the public dole.

Where is the mention of the RACISM that caused over 95% of black voters voting AGAINST THE WHITE CANDIDATE?

As a resident of the great state of Texas, I am sincerely embarassed Rep. Jakson Lee and Rep. Green are from Texas. Sadly, they epitomize the mindset of those I personally refer to as ‘voting parasites’. By that, I mean those that vote based on what the candidate will steal from tax-payers and give to them.

If they don’t cut this crap, they’re going to force Obama to answer whether or not he agrees with them. Last time he had to address race (saying Cambridge police acted stupidly), he came out looking very bad.

Cavuto interviewed this joke (Jackson-Lee) on his show the other day. She spent most of her time trying to talk over Cavuto. I'm surprised she didn't take a call on her cellphone during the interview.

They're going to try as hard as they can to get a violent race war going, folks.

They've been trying for 40 years and over the next few months is their last, best chance to do it.
