A teenage daughter of Osama bin Laden has been released from Iran after living under house arrest there since her family fled Afghanistan in 2001, her brother says.

Iman bin Laden, 18, is now living in Syria with her mother, according to the girl's brother, Omar, and his wife, Zaina Alsabah.

Many of Osama bin Laden's children escaped to Iran following the 2001 U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan. They lived in a compound under Iranian guard after authorities picked them up for entering the country illegally.

Iman escaped to the Saudi Embassy, where she waited for months before being allowed to leave last week.

In a letter that surfaced earlier this month, one of bin Laden's sons called on Iran's supreme leader to release family members under house arrest there.

You have to wonder about a world in which so many decent, loving couples are unable to have children but Bin Laden has dozens of children running around every part of the globe.

Comments on this thread seriously crack me up, LOL!

I reckon Bin Laden’s daughter just pretended to be a hooker and took off via Dubai! Around there, I hear, they’re used to that..

About half a year ago, she escaped her guards in Tehran and thereafter lived in the Saudi Embassy until she was finally permitted out of the country. She’s 16 years old and currently with her mother in Syria.

The article says she is 18, or is that a different Bin Laden daughter?

Regardless of OBL’s daughter, just on prostitution topic, and what’s called “sex slavery” in the Gulf sheikhdoms, many boys and girls who work as prostitutes are actually younger than 16. Many are smuggled out of Iran and sold in that region.
