Rep. John Dingell (D-MI), the Dean of the House of Representatives for being the longest serving member of the body (he was first elected in 1955, succeeding his father, Rep. John Dingell, Sr.), made an amazing admission during a live telephone interview with Detroit WJR News/Talk 760 radio talk show host Paul W. Smith on Smith's show Monday morning, March 22, 2010. The night before, Dingell had been a featured speaker at the Democrat Congressional leadership victory press conference after Obamacare passed the House.
In response to a question posed by Smith, Dingell said:
Let me remind you this [Americans allegedly dying because of lack of universal health care] has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you're going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.
The comment by Dingell begins 6 minutes 23 seconds into the twelve minute-long podcast of his interview on Smith's radio show. The podcast is titled "Congressman John Dingell tells Paul W. Smith he is thrilled with the passage of the health care bill." It can be streamed or downloaded as an mp3 audio file from this page at WJR's Web site.
Audio gold. Occasionally a Democrat slips up and tells the truth about what they are doing. Keep it on file.
The neo-Marxist are feeling their oats.
They now feel that they can be open about what they are, and what they will do to the USA.
They are confident that they have now dumbed down enough of the population to institute the new USSA.
John Dingell will never see his dream realized instead he will be joining Fat Ted and Murtha roasting in hell.
I love Paul W. Smith’s show (Detroit area)...he’s conservative and extremely bright IMO. I only get to hear about 20 minutes of the show each morning though.
I also love the fact that his show is beamed out from the Fisher Building, right downtown just blocks from rot, decay, and the corresponding dem voters.
Is there a better argument for term limits than John Dingell?
If you would like to be added or dropped from the Michigan ping list, please freepmail me.
Time to wipe the Dingellberry from Michigan.
"Right wingers just cant get over it. When they lose, they just dont accept it. Its part of the totalitarian mindset that talks a good game of democracy and majority rules but which rejects it when the majority doesnt rule in their favor."
Considering 70-75% of Americans were against this socialist takeover, it's the freakin' Alinsky Comminists who are the totalitarians.
Is he up for re-election in ‘10?
Not he could possible lose in the areas that vote fraudulently, like graveyards, the ghettos and homeless camps, but it would be great to see him pounded in opposition ads.
This needs to be broadcast everywhere for all to hear. Wonder if Glenn Beck or Hannity has heard this yet?
This is disgusting totally disgusting I’m so sick of this.
Everybody in the House of Representatives is up for reelection in2010.
You can pay the fines and buy insurance only after your are sick. This is guaranteed to kill the private health care industry which will put into place single payer cradle to grave socialism.
Lets ALL work for the government and just print money. It will work fine they say.
And since when is America a democracy bound my majority rules. THAT is the main problem with all this crap being foisted on us all. Three wolves and a sheep deciding on dinner.
I always thought the Fisher building was in “midtown”. I still regret that WJR lost the Tiger’s broadcasts.
BUMP!
Deficating on the grave of this POS statist will give him some food for thought on his journey.
"To provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans and reduce the growth in health care spending, and for other purposes."
Don't know about you, but that last part always troubled me the most.
Then he says that Republicans spent a lot of time not participating and they have contributed nothing.
Really????
These people are the reason my beloved Michigan is on life support.
No, not everybody.
Anyone else know if he is up for re-election in '10?
