Obama Administration Awarded Hundreds of Thousands in Airport Grants to Stupak’s District

Was this Yet Another Backroom Deal to Force Obama’s Bill Down the American People’s Throats?

Three airports in the district of infamous fence-sitting and ultimately kowtowing Democrat Bart Stupak were awarded $726,409 in grants by the Obama Administration just two days before a vote on Obama and Pelosi’s government takeover of healthcare.

Did Stupak compromise his supposed principled stand against taxpayer funding of abortion in exchange for taxpayer dollars for pet projects?

Alpena County Regional Airport received a $85,500 grant, but had only 7,519 passenger boardings in 2008 (the most recent year for which there is information) according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) data. Alpena County Regional Airport serves fewer passengers than even the late Rep. John Murtha’s famous “Airport for Nobody.”

Delta County Airport has even less customers than that, but still received a $179,209 grant.

Chippewa County International Airport received a $461,700 grant, but had only 13,733 passenger boardings in 2008.

Will Stupak come clean about this apparent backroom deal for his vote?

Call Stupak’s district office at (989) 356-0690 and ask.

We should have known. This executive order restricting federal abortion funding always was a big joke. It has no force of law should anyone challenge refusal for abortion funding at a government community clinic in court. And an exec. order can easily be ignored or rescinded. Stupak is a grade A USDA bum...a bum with a bad haircut and yes A BABY KILLER!

Perhaps the airport should be renamed as Judas Iscariot Field.

I’m not sure whats more disturbing. That he sold out, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. Or that he sold so cheaply.

I think thats whats more disturbing.

I don’t know if my honor has a price tag, but if it does, I hope its high.

When was the paperwork started on the grants? How long ago? Who made the ultimate decision? Were these federal/FAA block grants awarded to the state and then the state made the choice of airports to upgrade? Doesn’t it seem the amount of money involved is awfully puny for such a public change in vote? Why can’t I stop asking questions? ;)

WOW!

$726,409?

After Landrieu got a reported $300 million in the Louisiana Purchase?

If Stupak sold out for this he would not only be a whore, he would in fact, be a cheap whore.

"Perhaps the airport should be renamed as Judas Iscariot Field."

On another thread, a Freeper named Bart:

Kaputs, (which is Stupak spelled backwards!)

Therefore, I vote for "Judas Kaputs" Field, a nice name he and his family & friends can see on daily basis after his current employment is "Kaputs" in Nov10.

Ask the Native American Gaming (Chippewas) how much they kicked back? Those airports are near the casinos.

There is another reason this back stabber did this for that little.

That and he will not run for office again and will take a job with the Dept of Interior..YOU WATCH.
