Just watch - he sold out, and is expecting a payoff for his district in the very near (pre-2010 election) future. Keep an eye on the appropriations: our tax dollars will be headed for his district, to pay for his baby-killing vote.

As Mark Steyn brilliantly noted, Ben Nelson played the role of "Maginot Line" for conservatives. To continue French military analogies, Bart Stupak was the conservatives' Montigny "mitrailleuse." You saw it coming, I saw it coming, some others here saw it coming, but those in the pro-life movement who still haven't figured out that a Democrat will lie without shame even when they supposedly invoke God... I dunno what it will take for them.

I feel like I have some “cover” from Ann Coulter, as she said it first, at CPAC. She said with kind of a laugh I am not completely proud of my country, or words to that effect. But I know she spoke for a lot of us.
That ‘promise’ will last as long as it takes to ‘reconcile’ it out of existence.
At least a good course in characteristics of a liberal(none better than Rush Limbaugh in teaching the course) and a good cure for political naivete. Limbaugh is excellent in either case.
As Rush says, “They are Democrats above everything else!” Democrat trumps pro-life, conservative, blue dog, etc...
