While I don’t advocate spitting on people (doesn’t accomplish anything and certainly won’t change minds or win hearts!), I think that this is the least they can expect when they continue to push people beyond their limits. We have been screaming AGAINST this monstrosity and assault on our liberties and freedoms for how many months now? And Congress is giving us the finger, so how can they POSSIBLY be surprised when things like this happen??

KANSAS CITY, MO. — An ethics panel says Mayor Emanuel Cleaver used his office for private gain and personal convenience by using public money and free airline tickets for a vacation.
One violation involved billing the city $1,077 for hotel rooms, meals and a rental car while Cleaver’s family
was on a vacation in Orlando last summer.
The mayor was ‘’seriously at fault’’ for waiting three months to reimburse the city, the Municipal Officials Ethics Commission said in a report.
The commission did not recommend whether Cleaver should be prosecuted for the violations.

Cleaver has a history of ethical lapses.

But there were no witnesses to these events, just reports on CNN that they happened.

I was a witness and this never happened. I was standing on the corner when this group passed, and followed everything until they went into the office building. There were no racial slurs at all. However, I can see how a congenital liberal might have imagined it. There was a small group of blacks being shouted at and jeered buy several hundred mostly whites.

The video at that site show NO spitting, and I heard no racial remarks. There were police in view and there would have been a scuffle or some kind of reaction if this really happened. I call BS!

This sounds like Saul Alinsky style intimidation. We have a tense atmosphere as it is, so Alinsky acolytes make up stories like this to portray opponents as bigots and part of the lunatic fringe of society. They want to say that the opposition to their utopia of healthcare for all is being opposed by violence and intimidation, when in fact they are the ones trying to stir things up.
