A feisty 91-year-old Long Island pharmacy cashier fought with a robber -- then insisted on finishing her work shift.
"I want him to get caught because I want to smack him," said Florence Critelli after completing her day's work at the Rite Aid Pharmacy in East Northport.
Critelli was behind the register just before 11 a.m. when a man gave her a dollar for a candy bar.
When she opened the register to get his change, the thief reached over and helped himself to a handful of cash.
Critelli leaped into action.

Mrs. Critelli, I hope you get your chance to smack him good.
I’m here because I read the title, and figured it was a thread on a senior opposed to -18bamacare.
After smacking him good, open a big can of whupass on him.
Granny needs a gun.
She’s my new hero anyway.
There’s another story about an 82 year old woman that was attacked in the Wal Mart parking lot by some freakin thug, and he started beating her with her cane and she reached in her purse and pulled out her pistol and began firing! lol She didn’t hit him but I bet he .... his pants running away.
It was just posted a couple of hours ago.
How long before the NY Commies bring her up on charges?
How long before Rite-Aid’s corporate lawyers have her fired?
Way to go gma, thank god she wasn’t hurt. She looks great for 91. Funny a 91 year old woman can work but many able bodied welfare recipients can’t. I would be embarrassed but then again shaming went out of style a long long time ago.
Go, Granny. Go, Granny. Go Granny, go!!!!! This is exactly the kind of thing my grandmother, long in heaven, would have done. She worked until she was 93. I don’t think they make very many like that any more.

Darn right! And then bring her to D.C. to try to teach our spineless congress some courage.
Interesting observation. You’re right, there was a generation that didn’t demand hand outs for everything.
There are lots of seniors working well into their 80’s & 90’s, God bless them.
