US victims: New low in Mexico's war
NY Post ^ | March 16, 2010 | Ralph Peters

The war is here. In our front yard. 18,000 dead in five years. With the casualty count worsening. And our attention is half a world away.

In the wake of a Saturday night party in Juarez, Mexico -- across the Rio Grande from El Paso -- two American citizens affiliated with the US consulate were gunned down in a narco-terror hit.

A husband and his pregnant wife died in a spray of bullets just before driving over the bridge to return home to Texas. The gunmen left the couple's baby daughter wailing in the rear seat.

In a coordinated hit, the husband of a Mexican national employed by our consulate was shot dead while heading home from the same party, his two kids wounded.

Tragic. But there is not much the US can do against it.
Beside course close that open barn door (i guess you call it US/mexican border :-) so at least this violence can not spread over.

Send in the Marines. If Mexico City can’t stop this madness, then we must. We can’t let this continue on our border- for our sake and the sake of defenseless civilians over there too.

Solution: Build wall. Seal the border with US troops. No one goes north, no one goes south. Let Mexico solve its own problems.

Mexico needs to declare Martial Law and just kill every single one of these scumbags. Even if it takes a million.

THREE people lost their lives...not two.
As long as the border remains open we can count on this getting worse.

.....There may be a back-story as to why these three figures were assassinated (the narcos knew who they were killing)......

What ever the reason, they accomplished their goal with a swiftness completely alien to the Joker’s administration. Within hours, the resident Americans were swept up by the State Department and are gone.

.....Send in the Marines......

To do what?

What Marine has the ability to know who the bad guy is? If they are not shooting at him, he can’t possibly effect any change.

It has traditionally been the job of the US Army to take Mexico.
We just brought a few Marines along that time ;)

Building a wall would only be a temporary solution to what is really a long term problem. It won’t matter how high the wall is or how many troops we put there- the trouble will make its way across. Just ask the Chinese (Great Wall), the Romans (Hadrian’s Wall) or the Commies (Berlin Wall).

There's more to this story. This was an intentional hit -- the drug gang wanted to kill these specific people. Why?

Also, the early stories seemed to say that both the man and the woman worked at the embassy. I'm now seeing stories that say the woman worked at the embassy and are very vague about the man.

I think there's dirty stuff here.

The wall would only work if we had the resolve to back it up. I do not see such resolve today. I believe if Russia/China launched a nuclear attack and killed 1/3 of all Americans Obama would go to the UN and ask for sanctions rather than counter attack. In a nuclear war the safest place will be New York (home of UN) and Washington Dc with Obama and his crew of surrender monkeys.

About the murders in Mexico:

“Analysts seem to think this is a message the killers are sending to US and foreign officials, saying that they don’t want them here - they don’t want any meddling.[snip]

If the amnesty passes, called CIR/ASAP, now before the House of Reps there will never be allowed any national guard on the border.

See this thread, it has the current info. The murdered husband worked for the jail in El Paso.
