I've heard that too. Probably bribes from people who want bad legislation like amnesty or the bill he recently supported shafting supplement users till he got called out, once even calling it a "no-brainer". Then, every time some piece of bad legislation that he supports becomes a public issue, he claims he was misled BY LIBERALS about the content of the bill. He's done this at least with TARP, the supplement bill, and one other one I can't recall.

I can't understand why he thinks "I'm a senile/incompetent old fool who goes to Democrats for information about what's in bills I'm too lazy to read, so I get tricked all the time into voting for statist legislation that will shaft my constituents." is a viable excuse, and will make people want to send him back to Washington as their representative.

RE: I wasn’t even aware SD was moving on a firearms freedom initiative.

Actually, I think they may have been working on that one for a WHILE...

Around here in Mohave County, McLame won’t get 20% of the vote, not sure about the rest of the State though. ATF has already gone to All FFL’s and warned them against selling Ammunition to anyone from California, threatening to prosecute them if they do. They all have signs up. But we have pretty fine laws on carrying firearms already. What needs to be done is National Reciprocity just like drivers license’s or a Constitutional Amendment preventing government from infringing on a persons right to keep and bear arms.

What's this, ATF's new pre-crime division? There's no law against people buying ammo in states other than their own. In fact you have to if you fly there because while you can take your guns if you declare them, you can't bring ammo, so you HAVE to buy while out of state. Now I'm sure ATF's "rationale" is that California buyers might be trying to do an end run around Kali's new ammo purchase registration law, but that doesn't justify this either. California has no jurisdiction trying to prohibit Californians from buying ammo out-of-state as long as they don't try to bring it back into California. And it's a state law anyway, so if ATF tries to enforce it, they're out of their jurisdiction too. And the FFL, simply because someone is from a state run by deluded tyrannical Marxists, and buys some ammo, doesn't prove they intend to smuggle it back into Cali. Who the hell do the BATFAG's think they are anyway?

“Texas should lead the way on that one. “

Texas isn’t all that conservative a state.

One helluva victory for gun rights! South Dakotans lead the way!

If only my home country Australia had the same gun rights...

You folks in Arizona gonna dump McLame this year Still Thinking?

We're sure working on it. McLame still has many millions of dollars that he DIDN'T SPEND to defeat obama, plus lots more from RINOS across the country. JD doesn't have nearly the amount of money.

OTOH McLame is clearly afraid. He has brought every stinkin' RINO he could to announce support for him and some have campaigned. Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, Scott Brown and sooo unfortunately Sarah Palin. She's the only one who can hurt us. The others are really vote getters for JD!

Also McLame is running ads continually (and started doing so way before JD even entered the race). The ads are nasty and dishonest. But my point is that McLame is undoubtedly taking internal polls and he's got plenty of money to spend on that and he's still working like crazy so the internals must not be too good.

I smell fear. Remember that he was the only presidential candidate who failed to get even 50% in the Republican primary in his own state!

“If only my home country Australia had the same gun rights...”

I’ve shared a firing point with some Aussie highpower shooters. Great guys. They have to come over here early to practice with borrowed ARs..... Sad.

You’re probably better off than the UK, though - where the Queen’s husband had to form a gun club in Switzerland....

“It’s still better than nothing.”

My point was that there are more conservative states than Texas, so you might not want to look for them for leadership.

Spoken like a true ___________, and compared to what??? Bite your tongue nOOb!

Like ALL states with large metro areas, Texas has its share of dim bulbs but they're pretty well isolated to the inner city cess pools. Once you leave the population centers and head into God's country, it's like a whole n'other country. Texas may not lead the charge from the federale's oppression but I guarantee Texas will be a player. Fact is, I don't believe it can happen WITHOUT Texas joining the fight. You might be well advised to pray for Texas and the restoration of our Republic. JMHO of course.

It’s not about carry (concealed or not), it’s about manufacture and sale: any arms made in the state, marked with the state’s name, and have not left the state (to wit: entered into interstate commerce) are by decree of the state not subject to regulation/enforcement by the feds (a la BATFE, FBI, etc.). A company could make something without kowtowing to federal regulation/prohibition, and sell it to you without the “yellow form” and without a NICS check (among other permutations of intersecting laws).

Spoken like a former Texan who remembers the state of gun laws in Texas prior to the Luby’s Massacre and knows that Texas gives in-state tuition to illegals. I’ll ignore your sign-up date slam and whatever name you intended to call me....

Love the deep thought you must have put into that response. Quite a laundry list of greivances you got there.

In any case, lay out a scenario whereby any group of other LIKELY states could produce the jolt necessary to produce significant soul searching by the federales without Texas.
