....Middle East envoy George Mitchell promised Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that the U.S. will bring a halt to Israeli building in East Jerusalem.
...In an interview with CNN aired Friday night, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Israel's announcement of new construction of homes in a Jewish neighborhood in East Jerusalem was "insulting" to the United States.

The U.S. based Anti-Defamation League said late Friday that it was “stunned” by Clinton’s “dressing down” of Israel.
“We cannot remember an instance when such harsh language was directed at a friend and ally of the United States,” said Abraham Foxman, director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), in a statement.
The ADL called Clinton’s remarks a “gross overreaction” to a “policy difference among friends.”
“One can only wonder how far the U.S. is prepared to go in distancing itself from Israel in order to placate the Palestinians in the hope they see it is in their interest to return to the negotiating table,” Foxman said.
The nerve! The U.S. doesn’t have any business telling Israel where they can (or cannot) build!
God bless Bibi!
(And yes, this story makes me angry! Hence all the ! marks.)
So why do a overwhelming number of U.S. Jews, time & time again, vote democâRat? They are one of the âRats most dependable constituents, right up there with blacks.
I think a better statement would have been, "One can only wonder how far the U. S. is prepared to go in distancing itself from Israel in order to placate the Muslim terrorists in the hope they see it is in their best interest to return to the battle field."
While Abe Foxman may still feign bewilderment, I think the Israeli reactions to this week's uncomfortably arrogant Biden/Clinton/Mitchell exchanges show that Israel has already (accurately) determined how far the Obama administration is prepared to go.

OTOH, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Hussain 0bama are an insult to Israel.
Midwest envoy Avigdor Lieberman promised black authorities that the Israel will bring a halt to Michigan demolition in North Detroit.
...In an interview with CNN aired Friday night, Israel's Foreign Minister said Michigan's announcement of demolition of homes in black neighborhoods in North Detroit was "insulting".
Hey Hillary!
How about getting tough with IRAN?!?!?!?!
How is it that you’re tougher on our ally for defending itself, than we are on the terrorists attacking them?
Oh....yea....you’re anti-Semitic too...

Last November Hillary went to Israel upset the Pallys by saying a housing freeze was not necessary:
Everyone upset Abbas, including Israel and the Americans. That is why he is angry.
We must resume negotiations immediately, to keep us in the picture,” Peres told Ynet Saturday night during a ceremony in Tel Aviv marking the 14th anniversary of prime minister Yitzhak Rabin’s assassination.
According to Peres, Abbas’ decision was affected by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s claim that a total freeze of all Jewish construction in the West Bank was not a prerequisite for the resumption of the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The president said Abbas may reverse his decision should negotiations be renewed.
What gives us the right to police Israel?
Can someone tell me when we annexed Israel?

Because Israel is a non-issue politically among Jews. Both parties try to outdo one another in their support of Israel. Congress votes overwhelmingly on support of Israel regardless of party. It is totally bipartisan. As a result, it doesn't factor into the electoral calculus.
When you have provided over $100 billion in assistance, you do have a voice, like it or not.
A government big enough to give everything you want, is big enough to take everything ya have.
We give money to Israel because they are the only democratic government in that region and because they are our ally.....not our lil pup, there to perform at our every whim.
Israel, without bowing to our demands (because of foreign aid) has been one of the most valuable investments America has made.
It is not because Israel is not an issue. The reason why some Jews vote Dem is the same reason Libs do, they believe the Lib philosophy is more important than even the country they live in, or themselves. If you know the answer to why Libs hate the US, then you know the answer to why Jews vote Dem.
There are 45 Jewish members of Congress with only 1 being a Rep. My point was in response to those who believe that Israel should somehow be part of the equation in how Jews vote. Israel is a non-issue because there is not a dime's worth of difference between the two parties on support for Israel. If there were, then it would be worth discussing. Most Jews are liberals and some of the most extreme liberals in Congress are Jews, e.g., Boxer, Schumer, Sanders, Feingold, Frank, Waxman, Grayson, Nadler, Wassernman-Shultz, etc.

If there is not a "dimes worth of difference" between the parties about Israel, then why are the Dems working against Israel and the Reps working for Israel?
I don't accept the premise that the Dems are working against Israel. Check out the Dem voting record in Congress on support for Israel. And why are there 45 Jews in Congress and only one is a Rep? If the Dems were really working against Israel, don't you think that AIPAC and a host of other Jewish-American organizations would be railing about the Dems and urging their members to vote against the Dems?
