Hayworth ties to ALIPAC questioned (McCain camp links Hayworth, 'extreme groups')

Sen. John McCain's campaign is calling on his primary challenger to disavow the backing of an anti-illegal immigration group that permits the use of terms such as "wetbacks" and "pepper bellies" – derisive epithets sometimes used for immigrants – on its website.

"Let's be clear: Congressman [J.D.] Hayworth's continued flirtation with extreme groups that condone racism only opens the door for liberals to falsely paint all opponents of illegal immigration as bigots. Congressman Hayworth should immediately disavow this group’s support and commit to never again associating himself with groups that accept this kind of hateful and counterproductive rhetoric," McCain campaign spokesman Brian Rogers said in a statement Friday.

Mc should read up on an Operation conducted by a previous Republican president, Dwight D Eisenhower. It was named “Project Wetback” which basically identified what it was about.

Google it Mc and it will return about 24,000 entries.

If McNasty was half as nasty against Obama as he is with conservatives, he might’ve beaten the Usurper-in-Chief.

If each of us sent J.D. $10.00 it would help his campaign - and our campaign would be to get rid of McCain. He is just as rude and abusive to his constituants as he sounds. The country, and especially Arizona, would be better off if McCain was retired from government service.

“If McNasty was half as nasty against Obama as he is with conservatives, he might’ve beaten the Usurper-in-Chief.”

Instead McCain seemed to campaign for Obama.

A traitor!

Palin’s guy. Her endorsement is going to come back to bite her.

So we hear. A lot. Plenty of prophets out there trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Many, but not all of them, of them are leftists. I don't buy it and neither does anyone else I know.

77% of AZ voters voted for McCain in 2004. That was after McCain passed CFR with only 12 Republican votes in a Republican controlled Senate and strong armed President Bush into signing it even though Dubya vowed to VETO it. That was after his opposition to the Bush tax cuts. The AZ voters know McCain is a RINO and it looks like they think he is representing them well.

What’s most creepy about McCain’s campaign behavior is it’s like he has some focus group that yes, focuses on what his constituents despise most about him, and then well...seems to focus on THAT.

I remember in one debate where McCain says Obama would make a great President, wonder if he would say J.D. would make a great Senator.

Of course, McCain would never do that.

His hatred is reserved for conservatives only.

I am getting downright pissed at this piece of crap. Not only that, but my respect is nearing the zero level. You decrepit old fart, why don't you just retire? You're turning feeble and moronic in your old age. Actually, I think you've forgotten what America is supposed to be. You know, more like it was when we both went to Vietnam at least. Idiot.

Oh yeah, If any of you out there want to jump me for my statements, come ahead!

In which case, comment on those bad things he has said. If he really is the person with the beliefs you claim, you wont have to make up or deliberately misrepresent statements such as the one quoted. McCain is NOT calling opponents of illegal immigration bigots here.

Scott Brown and Mitt Romney are one thing, but I thought Palin was supposed to be a conservative. Does McCain know something we don't?

McCain says lots of things:

Brown stumps for McCain in Grand Canyon State
March 5, 2010

“Scott and I just returned form trying to do the Lord’s work in the house of Satan,” McCain told the crowd.

“He brings star power. Kinda like Sarah Palin does, you know?” McCain said in an interview. “He’s a national figure. People react to him in the most positive way…He comes in a position of significant influence, in our party and in the senate.”
