Yes, it does seem like the NY GOP took out a personal ad seeking a Senate candidate, but Senor seems like the most promising of the potential or declared candidates (with the notable exception of Pataki, who still won’t decide either way). Senor also appears to be more conservative than your average NY Republican (although, admittedly, we don’t know much about his views on social issues).
We also should not pretend that the fact that he’s Jewish won’t help him get votes in NYC and it’s suburbs, or that being married to a prominent TV news personality won’t give him a degree of protection from attacks by the MSM.
